CDM Co-ordination

Construction Design Management (CDM)

C-MIST was involved with CDM from the start – indeed assisted the HSE in the early development of the Regulations and, subsequently, in workshops leading to the 2002 Approved Code of Practice and Guidance document. C-MIST also helped set up the Institution of Construction Safety (ICS).

C-MIST believes CDM Co-ordination is:

  • A cost effective management tool
  • A value as part of the design process

It is not:

  • An expensive overhead producing mounds of paper with little or no value
  • The presence of a shadowy figure rarely seen or an obstructive nit picking irritant.
